Barnyard Beauties

It has been a busy summer for all of us at Rose Marie Cunningham Photography, so we took some time out to enjoy the country. While I was in the Pocono Mountains, Virginia and I stopped over to a small "farm" and photographed some competition horses thanks to the lovely Maria Dinunzi and the horse caretakers. We had a great time learning to "speak horse" and really getting up close with one very pretty dappled mare. The horses were playful, the sun was strong but not overwhelming, and the photographs came out just right. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

We also had the pleasure of meeting some hens, peacocks, a farm dog and this lovely guy. His name is Ruben and he is the local time keeper - except I think his internal clock is off. He cockadoodle-do'ed non-stop. Hahaha...

All good things must come to an end, so our country day came to a close with the horses drinking water from the hose like little country kids in the yard in August! Thanks Maria and Michelle for the opportunity and the beautiful shots. When the city gets too hectic I will be back for a quiet moment on the farm!
