A really super wedding party.....

Well, it's wedding season! Wedding season is the best time for a photographer, or at least the best time for this photographer (me!) because I get to spend some quality time with my clients and share in their mushy gushy lovey-ness. This time around I got to spend some quality time with the Readinger and Leynes families as they prepared for the marriage of Katie and Melvin.

Here I took a time out to get a shot (probably the only shot of me at the wedding) with the bride. She was absolutely stunning all day - even here with her makeup half done.

I also have to remark that Katie was the calmest, most relaxed bride I have ever seen. She did not seem stressed about anything and went with the flow all day. All of the supplies made it to where they needed to go, the drinks and laughs flowed with ease, and when a bustle needed to be done, it was done on the spot during the cocktail hour with a smile. Katie was kind, patient, and sweet to everyone through the whole experience including some serious heat! It was 91 degrees when she walked down the aisle in her gown and she didn't bat a fake eyelash!

The ceremony was an outdoor ceremony at Swan Harbor Farms in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The setting was stunning and the whole crew looked beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better looking bridal party!

After the ceremony, everyone made their way down to the gazebo on the farm (some people ran - myself included at times) and thankfully we beat a rain storm to capture the image you see here. The bride and groom sprung the idea on me the night before of having the groomsmen wear their superhero or villain shirts under their suits and having the bridesmaids show the shirts off. I did several iterations on my website (www.artworkinbloom.com) but I like this one the best.

This group was a really super wedding party, in more ways than you see here! There was so much love and joy for Melvin and Katie and I was so blessed to be a part of their day!
