Good Deeds and Heartfelt Thanks

This past weekend, my husband and I went to see the newest Cirque Du Soleil show, Zarkana. During preshow, as is common for Cirque, the clowns and minor characters come out to the orchestra and entertain the crowds. I was fortunate enough to capture this picture of a little girl kissing a ballerina.

Just as I took the picture, my husband turned to me and said, "It would have been so cool if you got a picture of that little girl kissing the ballerina! Her dad was fumbling with his phone and didn't get it."

"I DID GET IT!" I replied with excitement at what would now be an opportunity to do a good deed.

During intermission, we exchanged emails with dad and this week I sent the picture to him in Portugal. I just got his reply today: "Thank you so much! We were lucky to be alongside a professional photographer!"

Today, thoroughly pleased with myself I am so happy that I have chosen to continue my path as a photographer, not for profit or fame, but because I can help to capture some of the most joyful and precious moments of life and share them with the world!
